The right questions can help you make an informed decision.

We encourage you to ask these questions of every provider, including us.

Questions reviewed

  • Be cautious if the company won't clearly identify the entity you are contracting with.

  • Ask which services are performed by licensed attorneys and which are handled by support staff.

  • Understand what is included, what is not included, and when attorney representation begins.

  • You should receive a clear explanation of services, fees, and refund terms in writing.

Warning Signs You Should Never Ignore

A warning sign is a reason to investigate further, not necessarily proof that a company is fraudulent.

  • Promises of a specific outcome
  • No identifiable legal professional
  • Unclear upfront fees
  • Pressure to stop making payments
  • No written process or accountability
  • Unverifiable claims of affiliation with government agencies or lenders

Why Reviews Can Be Limited in the Solar Legal Space

Some legal settlements include confidentiality or non-disparagement provisions that restrict what parties may publicly disclose about the resolution. As a result, a company may be unable to publish details of certain successful cases or obtain public testimonials about them.

A limited number of public settlement reviews does not, by itself, establish whether a company is reputable or effective. Instead, focus on verifiable professional credentials, relevant industry experience, clearly defined services, transparent fees, and the process used to evaluate your case.

Why Solar Industry Experience Matters

At Care+, our team brings 30 years of combined solar industry experience to the process of evaluating disputed solar agreements.

Understanding how solar is sold, financed, and installed can provide valuable context when examining homeowner complaints.

Solar contract disputes may involve misleading sales representations, financing disclosures, installer practices, equipment performance, and differences between loans, leases, and power purchase agreements.

Our industry background helps inform how we approach these issues and coordinate the resolution process.

That's experience in the solar industry, not legal practice. We're not a law firm; legal representation is provided by licensed counsel.

How Care+ Answers These Questions

The same list, with our answers. You can ask us any of them on your free consultation.

1. Company Identity & Accountability

Can you provide the company's legal business name and physical address?
Care+ is marketed by Local Utility Services LLC, 62 NE 167th Street, Suite 201, Miami, FL 33162.
Who is performing the legal work, and can I verify their license?
Attorney transparency: Before you pay, the legal team gives you your Letter of Representation. It identifies the attorney responsible for your legal representation and provides their bar number, so you can independently verify their credentials. We're not a law firm and we don't give legal advice. If you go ahead, our resolution partner handles your case under its own written agreement with you, and their legal team reviews everything before anyone tells you what your options are. Our role is advocacy and coordination; legal representation is provided by licensed counsel.
What specific services does your company provide?
It starts with a free consultation of about 20 minutes. We review how the system was sold, what you signed, how it's working, what you pay, and whether our service fits your deal. If it does, you get a written analysis, with the cost, before you decide anything. Our role is advocacy and coordination; legal representation is provided by licensed counsel and set out in your Letter of Representation.
Do you have a written agreement that I can review before paying?
Yes. The service fee is in writing before you sign.

2. Solar Industry Expertise

What experience does your team have in the solar industry?
Our team brings 30 years of combined solar industry experience to evaluating disputed solar agreements: how solar is sold, financed, and installed. That's solar industry experience, not legal practice. Legal representation is provided by licensed counsel.
Do you understand the sales practices that can lead to disputes?
Yes. Solar contract disputes may involve misleading sales representations, financing disclosures, installer practices, equipment performance, and the differences between loans, leases, and PPAs, and our industry background informs how we look at each one. Your consultation starts with how your system was sold.
Do you research the installer and sales organization involved?
Your review looks at how your system was sold and who installed it, including whether that installer is still in business, and our 30 years of combined solar industry experience gives that history context.
Do you understand how different solar lenders and leasing companies operate?
Yes. Our analysis covers loans, leases and PPAs, including more than one agreement on the same home, and the differences between them are part of our team's solar industry background.
Do you know how each lender's dispute process works?
We know solar financing from the industry side, and our analysis covers loans, leases and PPAs. Negotiations and any formal dispute with a lender go through the legal team, with us coordinating. We don't claim special access to any lender's legal department.

3. Case Evaluation & Potential Outcomes

Has someone reviewed my actual solar agreement and the facts of my case?
Yes, before anything else. The consultation covers what you signed, and the legal team reviews everything before anyone tells you what your options are.
What specific problems might support a legal challenge?
That's for the legal team to answer once they've reviewed your documents. We won't put a legal label on your situation on the first call.
What happens if the lender refuses to negotiate?
If negotiations don't produce an offer the legal team considers reasonable, the legal team decides whether arbitration is advisable. If it is, any additional cost arrangement is disclosed to you and documented before proceeding. If it isn't, the matter may end without a resolution, and you'd be eligible for a refund under your signed service agreement. See “If a case goes to arbitration” below.
What happens to my solar equipment and existing payments?
Homeowners should continue making their required loan payments unless their lender or qualified legal counsel advises otherwise. What happens to their payment obligations and solar equipment after a resolution depends on the specific settlement terms, which the legal team will explain before the homeowner decides whether to accept an offer.
Am I being pressured to act immediately?
You shouldn't be. The consultation is free, and you get the analysis and the fee in writing before you decide anything.

4. Fees, Refunds & Financial Exposure

What exactly does the flat service fee cover?
The agreed scope of services in your written agreement. The fee and what it covers are in writing in your analysis before you decide anything. It doesn't automatically cover every cost of formal arbitration. See “If a case goes to arbitration” below.
Could I owe additional legal or arbitration costs?
It's possible, if a case goes into formal arbitration. Any additional costs are disclosed to you before they're incurred. See “If a case goes to arbitration” below.
What happens financially if no resolution is reached?
If no acceptable resolution is obtained, the service fee will be refunded less the applicable $250 administrative fee and 3% credit card processing fee, subject to the terms of the signed client agreement.
If I finance the service fee, what are the total repayment terms?
You can pay the fee up front or finance it through an independent third-party financing company. If you finance it, you receive the funds and use them to pay for the services, and that company sets the repayment terms, so compare them before you accept. If no qualifying resolution is obtained and a refund is due under your signed agreement, the refund is issued directly to you, subject to the applicable refund terms and deductions. You're then responsible for paying off or reducing your financing balance. A service fee refund doesn't automatically cancel the separate financing agreement: any interest, financing charges, or remaining balance are governed by that agreement.

If a case goes to arbitration

The flat service fee covers the agreed scope of services in your written agreement. It doesn't automatically cover every cost of formal arbitration.

If additional arbitration costs could arise, they're disclosed to you before they're incurred. You decide whether to accept a settlement offer, and no outcome or recovery of costs is guaranteed.

How additional costs are handled in three situations
  1. 1

There's an offer the legal team considers reasonable

The legal team explains the offer and gives you its recommendation. You decide whether to accept it.

If you decline it and want to continue into formal arbitration, any additional costs and representation arrangements are discussed with you before anything proceeds.

  2. 2

There's no reasonable offer, but the case remains strong

If negotiations don't produce a reasonable offer and the legal team believes your case has enough merit to justify arbitration, we'll evaluate an arrangement to help address the additional costs.

Where legally available and appropriate, reimbursement of arbitration-related expenses may be sought from the opposing party. Any proposed cost arrangement is disclosed to you and documented before proceeding. Recovery of those costs is not certain.

  3. 3

There's no reasonable offer, and arbitration isn't recommended

If negotiations fail and the legal team determines that arbitration isn't advisable, the matter may end without a resolution.

In that case you'd be eligible for a refund under the terms and conditions of your signed service agreement. As written in your analysis, the service fee is refunded less the applicable $250 administrative fee and 3% credit card processing fee.

These are general situations, not a promise of any result. The terms in your signed service agreement are the ones that apply.

5. Transparency & Client Communication

Will I receive copies of everything I sign?
Your analysis is saved to your client portal.
Will I receive documented progress updates?
The legal team provides updates at major milestones, such as when demand letters are issued or settlement offers are received. If you'd like an update between those milestones, you can request one through your secure client portal.
